lol Intermat has five freshmen in their top 33 at 157 but not Shapiro. that could be because they didn't know what weight he was going but still.

Wasn’t quite a letter…just a short email taking a shot at them for not including him. They replied saying that they had mistakenly forgot to put Ungar in, along with Shapiro.

11/6/23 Rankings

Code: Select all

		WIN	Flo	Intermat WrestleStat (ELO)
125: Ungar 9 7	10 9
133: Arujau 1 1 1 1
141: Cornella 9	10	13 18
149: ???	??	??	?? ??
157: Shapiro	NR	21	NR 199
165: Ramirez 8 7 7 5
174: Foca 2 2 2 2
184: Loew	17	16 8 11
197: Cardenas 6 7 6 9
285: Fernandes	NR	10	11 15
TEAM DUAL:	xx	xx 2 6
TEAM NCAA: 6 5 3 7
WIN fixed the Ungar issue but are now only giving a top 20 so Shapiro's 22 goes away.
Intermat inexplicably still doesn't have Shapiro even though it has 3 freshman in the rankings. I'll give them a pass on Chittum but the other two?
Flo : Only change is Shapiro moves up a spot after Lukez lost to Campbell.

No Flo update yet but I'll add it if they post one.
I commented on one of their social media posts of the rankings about Shapiro, but <crickets>. Bizarre.

It's especially bizarre because Shapiro did wrestle a bunch of open events last year and went 14-0 (plus an injury default W). 12 bonus wins including 5 by fall.

One of the guys ahead of him, Navy's Jonathan Ley, opened his season with a loss to a wrestler of no renown from Illinois. Whatchagonnado?

So Flo has Crookham #1 at 133 dropping Vito to #2
They will not meet again until the dual in January
Lehigh and Cornell are not in the same tournaments until EIWA and NCAA
However , before the Cornell dual , Lehigh has duals with PSU ( NAGAO) and OSU (Fix).
If Ryan can get wins over those two , he will stay at #1 until he meets Vito again. Wonder about rankings if he loses to either of the above.

11/14/23 Rankings

Code: Select all

		WIN	Flo	Intermat WrestleStat (ELO)
125: Ungar 7 7	10 12
133: Arujau 1 2 2 1
141: Cornella 8 8	13 16
149: ???	??	??	?? ??
157: Shapiro	NR	21	22 28
165: Ramirez 8 7 7 5
174: Foca 2 2 2 2
184: Loew	17	15 7 13
197: Cardenas 6 7 6 8
285: Fernandes	NR	16	21 21
TEAM DUAL:	xx	xx 2 6
TEAM NCAA: 3 2 4 4
WIN updated. Didn't drop Vito, wasn't the first to move Shapiro into the top 20.
Intermat finally ranks Shapiro; still below Chittum and now the older Blaze brother after his big win
Flo : Fernandes drops after losing by fall; Cornella climbs after taking Bartlett to OT.

No surprise that Arujau slipped a peg after losing to Crookham. Still not putting anyone in at 149 until it shakes out.

Curious to see who goes 184 for the rest of the semester since Grey mentioned that Hanning got hurt at Journeymen (though he didn't say whether it was serious).

Asked Mike. Said a 174 will move up for this semester. Did not ask the situation w Hatcher who would be the normal step in for Loew.
