Cornell has been posting to Facebook "Freeshman Monday," with today's being not-yet-enrolled Vince Cornella. That got me to look
at the current roster on cornellbigred.com. Since they have Yianni as a senior, one assumes that all class designations for their
roster refer to the wrestler's status for 2022-23. With that, I see that Ramirez and Saunders (among others whose status is not vague)
are listed as sophomores; Arujau, Cardenas, Fernandes, Foca, and Yapoujian (the elder) as juniors; Yianni, Loew, Moomey, and JJ Wilson as seniors.
Being listed as a sophomore is a pretty good indication that Ramirez and Saunders have three more years of eligibility; being listed as a junior indicates two years eligibility *unless* the wrestler takes a semester off. I'd guess that those sophs didn't enroll in the COVID year, while the juniors did enroll.

So far as I can tell Ramirez, Foca, and Cardenas were never shown on the 2020-21 Cornell roster. All wrestled for Finger Lakes/Spartan in 2019-20. To my way of thinking they should all be sophomores. Fernandes was on the roster in 2020-21, so he should be a junior. That's probable academic status; by NCAA rules they all have three years' eligibility remaining.
Yapoujian is an odd case. He wrestled at FL/Spartan in 2018-19, but he was completing his high school work remotely so he wasn't a collegiate yet. He wrestled as a true freshman for Cornell in 2019-20 but was injured early enough that he should be able to apply for an NCAA injury waiver to get the year back. He was on the 2020-21 roster, and wrestled briefly in 2021-22. The NCAA has granted some athletes two injury waivers, so it's possible that Yapoujian could still have four years left. By Ivy rules, I have no idea what he can expect.

my experience is that relying on the "class year" on the cornell roster page is a one-way ticket to crazytown.

I thought Loew had two years left technically but I think he is listed as senior .
He is fun to watch because he is so disciplined and fluid and I feel he will just keep getting better .
