Kinda disappointing to see this *after* signing up:
By submitting this form, you are consenting to receive marketing emails from: Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Assoc., Ithaca, NY, US, http://www.cityofithaca.org/

Perhaps he was talking about the city of Ithaca link? It is a bit weird. Not sure about being disappointed though.

I just signed up and the city of Ithaca link wasn’t there. It is now an eiwa link.

And yes, of course I consent to getting marketing emails that I just signed up for!

A newsletter is typically a mechanism for reporting, well, "news." Marketing materials are typically used to sell something.

Why not simply "By submitting this form, you are consenting to receive the newsletter via email from...?"

As Nancy Reagan once (in)famously said, "Just say no."
"You can revoke your consent to receive emails at any time by using the SafeUnsubscribe® link, found at the bottom of every email."

Interesting content in the inaugural newsletter wrt Cornell and weight classes. While nothing is certain...
  • Diakomihalis will likely move up to 149 lbs.
  • Richard will bulk up to 165 lbs for the 2021-22 season.
  • LaJoie will move up to 133 lbs for the 2021-22 season.
They only reference returning EIWA place-winners ("A cast of promising newcomers will round out a strong Cornell team"), so the above is not to say these are the starters (e.g., they talk about
Furman at HWT, but don't explicitly mention Fernandes).

Interesting, tons of lineup questions still and season is about to begin .

1- Is Vito going 133 or 125 and same with young Diakomihalis?
2.165 - Looks like a battle there , undecided.
3. 184 wide open still .
4 . Heavyweight undecided .
5. Who is at 141 ?
6 - How close or good is Cardenas at 197 ?

Ineteresting that Ungar became a top pound for pound guy at the end of last year when he beat figueroa and Gibson .
Lots of depth at 125-133 - Like superstar depth .
